Chelan Butte Trail

Overlooking the Chelan Lake and town, this steep out and back trail is a great workout and beautiful views. The hiking is arid with few trees, so it’s best on days with some chill in the air, breeze, or cloud cover.

The trail is basically an out and back route. You can take a shorter direct path up the beginning, but be prepared for a stair-stepper like experience. The indirect path is much more like a true hiking trail. The route we took here was not to the top- we opted to turn around at the ridge making it a 3 mile hike. Had we completed the route it would have been 7-8 miles depending on the path (direct or indirect)
