Park near Pensacola with a nice walking trail that meanders along the southern coast of an inlet on Bayou Grande. From the main parking area, you can walk east or west. Bewarned! In the evening ants take over the east path! You only lose about 1/2 mile by sticking to the western pathway, so you still get to enjoy almost 4 miles (2 out, 2 back). Along the path are several places with easy access to the water for dipping toes or paws. At sunset, you can hear Taps drifting across the water from the base.
