Staying in Akumal and want to dive once, twice, three, or four times per day? Well, look no further! The Dive Center is right at the entrance to Akumal and offers multiple dives per day. Because most dives are only 5-15 minutes from shore, you can book each dive individually. “Surface time” is spent heading back to the center, grabbing a new tank, and catching the boat to your next dive. This center is PADI certified and seems very professionally run.

Note that the Akumal Dive Center is NOT the same as the Akumal Dive Shop! The Shop seems to run snorkeling trips primarily. Finding the Dive Center the first time can be confusing, but we wandered around the Plaza repeating, “Escuba Dive Center?” and were ultimately guided to the right spot.
